Sometimes at gigs when my bandleader asks the crowd "Whaddya wanna hear now?", I'll say something to the extent of "We have some Barry Manilow in our repertoire" or "We just polished up some Justin Bieber at the last rehearsal". Mainly I only say it to irk our guitarist. :-)

I don't think there are any teen girls on the forum, but I'll give this warning, just the same. Steer clean of religion on the board.
Just because we don't think he's the next messiah doesn't mean millions of tweens don't. :)

I'm actually impressed with his talent. He is a VERY talented musician and multi instrumentalist. I suppose the wave of spam we could receive because of a teen onslaught might warrant a retraction...

I find this thread very distastful. But having said that...
What are thoughts about all those poor kids in Connecticut?
I guess some things just aren't funny to me.

You know I may not like his music. Honestly I cannot really say cause I have not listened to it. And I think like all kids he has made some missteps as he goes but that is called life. But the plain fact of the matter is he is out there doing it. And from all accounts is transitioning from preteen idol to a more mature career. And frankly has made more money than most of us doing music. So for that alone I respect his being in the right place at the right time. Point being the kid is out there doing it and doing it for a lot of people. More power to him.

I was in Carl's Junior with my two boys and we all had a laugh when we watched the public service anouncement with Justin Bieber as spokesperson for the ASPCA encouraging everyone to neuter their pets.
