Argh...I can't listen to it. I have to download YT vids to play them and the file name is "too long".

I love Line6 gear and really enjoyed the HD500.

***Nevermind...figured out a work around and dl'ing now.

Thanks!

I not completely happy with amp emulations (and I don't like my overall amplified tone here too), but effects are pretty good. AutoWah, pitch shifters, whammy, delays. Really nice.

Sounds good! I love the use of overbends. I skipped through some non-harp parts due to my time right now, but the tone was very pleasing. It wasn't far removed from your non-cupped sounds through the PA mic. What are you using for the POD's amp?

I went this exact same route and decided a M9 with a Para Driver DI gave me the same sounds with less effort. Tweaking a HD500 live was a huge pain (looks like you have the desktop version though).

Try the Growler. The particle verb is pretty amazing too.

That's ultimately why I went with a different pedal. I got perfect sounds at home and then had a hard time tweaking them live.

I experiment with bassman, gibtone and boosting them by vintage pre or different eq's at certain frequencies. Still not completely happy, I want more dirt with nice fidelity (smth like recent Jason Ricci's tone lonewolf harbreak to harpgear amp). Still didn't find, all tones a bit muddy or too bright, while recently I've found that changing output from DI/studio to PowerAmp gives me sound closer to what I need. To be honest I'm tired of carring my pedals.

Eventually, I gave up on the amps and moved to using just the pre. I guess the trouble I had was adjusting EFFECTS live as the amp options were solid.

Honestly, I didn't use it enough with a band to give it a fair shot. For the solo stuff I was doing, it just sounded better not to use a bunch of amp sims.

I actually am downsizing a ton of gear as I won't be playing out much in the near future...I've used my iPad for looping instead of the Boomerang and have since sold the 'Rang. Next up is some sweet PA gear...just too hard to gig with my day job, night job (customizing), and family. I just grab my small board and sit in with bands 1-2 a month.
