Im building a custom cabinet for my knight PA. Its a 30watt with 2 6l6.

I can find eminence speakers in my area so my top choice are 12" cannabis rex or 10" legend 1028K.

Any thoughts on those speakers?

I really have no idea what Im doing, can I mix a 12" and a 10" in a cabinet.

One or two speakers?

12+10 is ideal. The Cannabis Rex is an excellent speaker for blues harp. I think the combination of that and the Emi 1028 would be very good.

I have the 12-inch hemp cone Cannabis Rex speaker in my Mission 32-20 amp. In my Bassman RI I have two of the smaller 10-inch version (the Lil' Buddy) mixed with two Alnico blue Fender speakers, which are rebranded Eminence 1028. I like the tone of both amps very much.

The Cannabis Rex is an excellent match for your Knight PA. Your cab would be more compact with a single speaker and I would go with just the CR.

What Knight PA head do you have? I have a KN3245 that I love the sound of, but it is pretty plain to look at, being a beat up turquoise 60's style box with little visual appeal. I thought about putting it in a cab.

It has two horizontal RCA black plate 6L6's, and my amp guy has warned me about mounting it in a cab with the tubes horizontal. He says that speaker vibration would cut the lifetime of horizontal power tubes in a cabinet. Those black plate RCA's were worth more than what I paid for the whole amp when I got it years ago.

I have been using speaker cabs separate from the head (I have a couple Stromberg-Carlson heads, too), and I just received a Cannabis Rex 12" speaker yesterday, not yet installed in another cab. All 3 of the heads sounded good through the Lil' Buddy 10" cab. Even my Class D Electro Harmonics 44 Magnum "sit in" amp head sounds good through the Lil' Buddy.

I am interested if your Knight PA has upright power tubes, or horizontal like mine. I am interested in your cab project.

I found out about the Lil' Buddy from Rick Davis, and really like it, and I am hoping I like the CR that he also recommended.

Cannabis Rex is a good speaker for some harp amps. It is a very sensitive speaker and if you have a loud and clean amp it is no good. In that case you gonna have a weber 12A125 or some other speaker who is heavy to drive and make the amp work harder. It is a very good speaker in combination with other speakers who break up easy. The Emiinence 1028 is NOT the same speaker who sat in old Fenders. The blue eminence 102was a 25W speaker who break up easy and is pretty aggresive. The 1028 is a clean a little dull sounding speaker.
The new Jensen Jet Tornado (Neo) is a very good speaker who sound terrific alone, and in combination with a Cannabis Rex.

Guess ill go with 1X12 Can Rex.
I tough the 1028k would have that old alnico sound.

@doug this is the model of my head: http://www.radiomuseum.org/r/allied_rad_knight_93_sz_682.html

It was redone and modded for harp by Technobird from harpmicshop.com

I was actually talking about a separate speaker cabinet but building something for the head would be very interesting too.

I like the teal color. It will look good with a matching cab;

Ill do a youtube video when everythig arrived.

BeardHarmonica - The sound clips at the Mission Harp Amps website are Nic Clark playing through my Mission Chicago 32-20 amp pictured above. It is 1x12 Eminence Cannabis Rex.
