Doesn´t it really get much better? Hm ... This is one instance where I think quite a number of members on this forum could confidently take over guitar, vocal and even harmonica duties and the result would be equal, if not improved. You should check those two Spanish guys someone put up a link to last week. But of course, they are not Keith R and James C.
It's Keiths timing that's all over the place and Mr Cotton's looking at him like "what you doin man?" especially right at the beginning. Reminds me of a night I once had in the Scotia Bar. Glasgow. Ah Good Times.
I just see and hear a couple old guys doing something they've loved to do there whole life! They're both well beyond there prime, but they have been to the mountain and back! Both have pretty impressive resume's. Respectful I would say!
@chromaticblues - I agree 100%. Even past their prime it's still some pretty damn good stuff. How many of us could play like that after been through even half of what either Keith or Cotton have lived.
There may indeed be some on this forum who perhaps could sing, play harp or guitar better than what is shown on this clip. But I submit that it is unlikely they would be able to do so if not for what these guys did before. We stand on the backs of these giants. Respect is the least the deserve. ---------- LSC
Now here's the live performance that followed that rehearsal:SOMEBODY CHANGED THE KEY TO THE SONG WITHOUT TELLING jAMES.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N11oVfUOXjI
A quote from Jack White about producing a Rolling Stones album: "I'll do it if it's a dirty blues record and we can get down to something really raw." ---------- myspace
Dearest me, even more embarrassing than the rehearsal. But the folks appear to like it, probably thinks that´s "authentic". Has James C gone tone deaf?
