This song is awesome: all the lyrics are palindromes!

Harmonica content: I also thought Wierd Al plays better harp on this song than Bob Dylan does on most of his! ;)

Very very clever stuff. How much time and energy would it take to pen THAT in palindrome form? And I agree: as far as harp goes, Al is probably a better player than Dylan, but who cares. Not me.

I play this song routinely--finally have it memorized, it usually goes between Folsom Prison Blues and Mystery Train--train keeps a rollin', so to speak.
I just heard the Dylan song that the form was taken from (Bob Dylan's 115th Dream), which is not the song that the video parodies (Subterranean Homesick Blues). . .

Weird Al Yankovic is brilliant. How anyone could come up with that many palindromes, let alone get them to fit together musically - is beyond me. He never ceases to amaze me.

There are long lists of palindromes out there. Did he write them all himself or do a little borrowing. Good artists copy. Great artists steal! They are his now.

Good one Nate. Sealing from one is plagiarism. Stealing from many is research. Can't remember where I stole that from.
