I caught a harp-L post about this a few months ago. Interesting design, though it looks to be about the same caliber as most of the other harp mics manufactured these days, and it's somewhat omenistic that they'd use the same designation number as the Green Bullet. Haven't really seen it sold anywhere except on amazon. Anyone have any experiences or thoughts on it?

Hmmm, with those slots on the side, it seems like it might be along the lines of a Nady VHM-7 Bushman Torpedo, where(theoritcally) your hand seals the slots on the side and you can use this as a 'wah' effect.

Just looking at the specs of this makes me wonder if JTS (who make good microphones) understand the market and what the majority of harp players expect in a bullet type mic.

Until someone gets hold of one we won't know for sure, but I'd speculate that this will be very feedback resistant at the expense of any dirt or coloration. Like the Audix Fireball.

the side vents have yet to impress me on the nady/bushman. to me if you need extra help making a wah sound you have work to do on cupping. my nady sits at home and my bullets come out with me.

the core of any mic is the element and next is the amp it goes into. this is a very subjective arean. for my money a decent small to medium tube amp and a hotass cm element mic cannot be beat.

I bought one of these. The response was terrible. I removed the original element. I have it here if anyone wants it (used for 2 minutes). About the size of a sm57 cartridge.

It was thin, hollow and was low impedance. I tried a vintage element in it and it still sucked. I then got another vintage element 99C86 (mid impedance but low output. The mic now has some tone to it. Very resistant to feedback due to the low sensitivity. I can use a 59 bassman pedal to boost the gain to my amp.

It uses a foam windscreen inside, so I don't see any real usefulness of those vents.

On the plus side it feels comfortable in your hand. More so than a JT30. I still prefer a 545. Depends on the room.
