I'm interested in this kind of sound, acoustic harp swing. I have not been able to find anything of the kind, and was wondering if anyone can set me in the right direction (some artists, albums etc.)
Check out "Beans Taste Fine" by Papa John Kolstad. I think the harp player is call Wildman Mike Turk. This has some amazing harp on it and includes a version of the song in the OP.
The master of swing harp is Chikara Suzuki. I saw him years ago, once, in a New York dive when he was town with some guys from the Lost Wandering Jazz and Blues Band. Here is one clip. If his short, sweet, perfect solo doesn't make your day--or month, or year--please sue me. He is, in my opinion, one of the all-time harmonica greats.
