Since joining this forum I have been able to see/hear/start to learn more advanced techniques,as a lip purser I have been working on tb techniques, like tb ing single hole, splits and tongue flutter, can any of you post you tube lessons or examples of the t flutter being used in context suitable for a beginner?
A great example of tounge flutter is of course the intro to "Walters boogie" by big Walter. He starts with a 1-4 draw chord/flutter octave ande then follows with three more draw flutters before exhaling thru 3-6 blow chord/flutter. More of the song and technique here http://www.harpsurgery.com/walter-horton-walters-boogie/ . Here is a spotify link to the song if you're a (ab)user http://open.spotify.com/track/1fD4nkXlTuVhKvDyHRjWV0
Remember that the tongue is pretty much all muscle and needs exercising... and some people's tongues work genetically easier than others, so the others have to work harder at it.
And then there is the part of the tongue that actually hits the harp, which may also depend on your embouchure and how the harp is tilted.
I've been working on my tongue blocking and fluttering for some time now, and it does improve over time as long as you keep doing it.
I like using the front underside of my tongue.
