ive got 5 versions of Have a Good Time; still cant understand most of the words..just 1 verse i am confident is like "(you can)preach like Peter, Pray like Paul, (but)When judgement day comes thats all thats all"
but the rest of it i just dont know. i've heard Walter do 3 verses i think, or is it 4? but after awhile even the words i thought i knew start to sound like they may be something else...like "get that liquor" might be really "forget that liquor"

i'm really hopeful someone here is gonna be able to help me out on this.
Cheers,
Dave

Don't know if it is right, but I sing-

Get some liquor
And come on over
You know I just found me a pocket full of dough

Chorus

I got money today
Tomorrow who knows
I don't care where my money goes

Chorus

You can preach like Peter
Pray like Paul
But when judgement day comes thats all thats all.

Chorus

Jim

thanks for your response jim

yeah, those words are pretty much what i have been doing too, but i am not totally convinced that the 1st verse is what walter sings

theres another verse too...a bit like:

spend my money upon my clothes, i never have to worry cause i have...something...

sounds a bit like "have my little Rose" but i dont know what that would mean, doesnt mean anything to me so i sing "i have this little rule...have a good time"

i have heard others say "i have the road"

when i 1st heard it i though it was spent my money, pawned my clothes, i never have to wear 'em cause i have nude roles...that still amuses me but i am pretty sure its not really in the spirit of the song

again, thanks for responding...
