Hi, I come from the deep south....of the UK that is!! I started playing this wonderful little instrument when Adam was a boy (no, not that one, the first one, you know - who was tempted to try the harmonica in the Garden of Eden). I heard a guy at school playing some blues bends and thought, 'I've just got to learn how to do that!' Alas no Youtube in those days, so just self taught really, trying to copy riffs from records. As years went by I just picked up my harmonica from time to time and tooted away. Then BANG!!!! I discovered Youtube and found so much good stuff out there from modern players (Todd Parrott, Adam Gussow, Jason Ricci, Howard Levy, and so many, many more) that I became hooked on playing the harp again. I've learn't more in this last year than in a whole lifetime of playing! I like so many different styles of harp music and try to reflect that in my playing. For anyone starting to play, practice til your lips bleed!! It's so much fun.
