Hello I was playing game of thrones theme and I was thinking yeah blowing single holes sounds good and nice but I want to know is there a way to uh spice things up and here I'm not meaning change the pitch like bending or anything I'm meaning same uh noise but just like idk really make it sound cool

Idk if this is even a real question for it as I am new i don't know. Nothing about like changeing notes as I can't even bend but I can do a sort of wobble noise in the same note but can't hold it

Listen to a lot of harp, hear a sound you like, work at it until you can make that sound. But it's hard to get the cool stuff without having a grip on the basic 'uncool' stuff.

One simple thing you can do is to articulate notes. This means saying a syllable like "ta" or "da" as you breath in or out. It gives your playing a more percussive feel. Try it our and see what sounds good.

Also consider playing a chord now and then instead of a single note and varying the duration and speed of playing notes. Hold a note for a longer or shorter time, play faster or slower.

It takes time to get the cool stuff like Fil says (I don't have much myself) but hopefully these few things will add some variety for you.

Try playing octaves. For example if your playing the 4 blow .... put holes 1234 in your mouth and use your tongue to block out holes 2&3. Hole 1 and 4 are the sane note just different octaves. So now you have a fatter sounding note.

Also try adding vibrato or tremelo.
Also once you have been playing a while and your Tone gets better, single notes won't sound as flat and boring.

Tongue block effects are also a good way too spice up the spaces inbetween the notes.
