I've found on this site that the newer MBs come with a factory sealed comb. Are the numbers printed on the case a clue to when that came about? Besides taking it apart is there any way of telling? I've four Seydel's, four MBs, two Big Rivers, one blues harp (Hohner), & one Lee Oskar. Love 'em all for their differences.

Since 2011 iirc.
The clue is the comb.
If it's brown, 'timber finish' the same colour all the way around, with "hohner" printed on the back, it's a current model.
If the comb is painted yellow or orangeish, lacquered tines, back of the comb is painted black it's an unsealed comb

Thank you, SuperBee. All my MBs are currant then. I appreciate your feedback. As I scroll though the forum I found your posts educate me, as they must certainly must for most of the members. Thanks, approaching the age many consider wisdom to dwell (or dotage), I'm having much joy learning.
