Dan- I'm not a good person for critique right now, but continue to work on same rhythms maybe adding more stuff you learn. Try it slower just for a different feel, stomp foot stay with a consistent beat...and if you haven't learned how to do vibrato add some vibrato when you can. I never did vibrato until recently and helps sound a lot.
Yeah, it's a problem getting feedback. It's tricky I suppose as no one wants to cause offense. Not a problem here though ha ha :)
Great practice - there was a thread on the main forum about how important it is to have good time, your own strong sense of time that is, rather relying on something else. So this kind of thing is valuable IMO.
I'd recommend playing along with a metronome, at different speeds as ScottK says. And work at getting the rhythm spot on - both the main beats and the fills. Be brutal with yourself about whether you are right on, or nearly there.

My goal with music is to influence my children to also learn an instrument, and eventually start Dirty Dan's Family Band.
That's just a dream... but I do want to perform on stage one day, just with local bands for fun.
If I could sound like anybody...
I want junior wells speed mixed with the acoustic/expressive brilliance of Sonny Boy 2nd.
I picked up the harmonica around may/June of 2015, and I never played an instrument before the harmonica, but I taught myself music theory from the harmonica and applied it to the ukulele and banjo.
OK nice. So you dig the old blues. Great. I would suggest trying Adam's lessons on this site. Go up on the left and click on the link for **The Store** Adam has lessons there that range from the very Raw Beginner to Advanced players who can overblow. I HIGHLY recommend these lessons. As well anyone else who has used them, I'm sure.
There is a preview button for most of the lessons. ... so you can get a feel for the lesson before you buy. And see if it's a song you would like to learn.
The licks and techniques you will learn in these lessons will translate to every aspect of your playing. Not just this one song. They are really great. I can't say enough about them.
I've actually done a lot of playing music with kids mostly guitar. But I've performed a lot. A lot at libraries. When my kids were younger -they are older teens now- there was a couple summers that they came with me a lot and would play percussion and for a couple years sometime my son playing drums. Really fun. Now I'm kind of solo again hence I'm trying to improve my harp playing and join other musicians etc... if you haven't ordered Adams very beginning lessons it is a must. I did not realize what I didn't know.
