good morning little schoolgirl

That's a link above, to a video. It's a pretty dull video of a man playing much the same chorus repeatedly for nearly 3.5 minutes, but I'm developing stamina and familiarity!

Getting ready to play this with the band.
I feel weird about this song. I love playing it but I also have to sing it. I figure most probably don't think too deeply on the lyric; they may just think 'that's so wrong'

Maybe this one is less annoying to watch, without the band. It's much shorter for one thing

shorter clip playing solo

Sounds great. All those little rhythmic clicks and whirrs, that's the thing.

NICE!! Well played Sir. Sounds great. Makes me Really want to learn it now.

Sorry, I can't watch videos on my phone at the moment so I have to wait until I have access to a computer. So it took a little while before I could actually watch it.

How long have you been working on that Bee?

It's tougher to play something like that at tempo, over and over and not mess up, than it is to just do a Wailing Solo. Atleast IMO. That was pretty darn good.

These are the types of things I need to practice aswell. Timing, Stamina, Etc.

I know what you mean about the lyrics. My girlfriend has commented when I've been listening to this song. But she likes Michael Jackson so she really hasn't got room to talk. Lol.

I think most people who like this song think of themselves in childhood singing this to a girl. Not at the present.

Sounds good though Bee. Good Luck with the Gig.

I listened again, and if you want some constructive criticism I'd say your warbles (two-hole shakes) could do with more precision.

It's a feature I notice separates the sheep from the goats. Myself, I'm a goat in that reckoning. I'm not so bad if it's a long warble (e.g. LW on Forty Days and Forty Nights or King Bee) but a weakness when adding in an impromptu short warble like you've got there.

Blues harp is an odd style IMO, it's not right either if it's too neat or if it's too ragged. For me, when I hear the raggedy-harp then an ultra precise warble - that's where it's at.

Agreed. It's a weak point. I think the triplet thing in the same place gets out of time too.
I started doing the warble to replace the triplet. Portnoy is the model and his is very good. I just listened to it last night and decided to emulate it. I've never been particularly good at them. Dave Barrett told me much the same so it's clear Id benefit from doing some work on that. I appreciate the feedback.
