i did some work on this one tonight. i think this makes a pretty good song for someone to learn if you are getting control of the lower octave bends.
the classic/original (i believe) recording features Little Walter in 1st position, A
there is another recording ive heard on UTube which i think is probaly 2nd position, possibly Walter Horton

but the record i worked with tonight is track 3 on 'Hard again'. James Cotton on a C harp, but playing similiar to Little Walter.

you need the riff, which doubles the guitar: +4, 3', 2", 2", +3

you could let the 2" up instead of using +3 but i like the +3 because it takes me back across ready for the +4 and i can play a little tongue slap on the chord. either way is good.

then in the bridge there is some more complicated stuff that i havent really investigated.

but you can see, this is the same notes as the hoochie coochie man riff, apart from the 2" but LW does use that in his HCM riff too, in some of the variations.

its bedtime so i'll leave the solo for another post. but its a not-too-complex solo and sounds great in the song, very rhythmic and not very 'notey'
