Can anyone list off which harps come in a low tuned version.
I know a few but I'd like to check.
Basically I really enjoy playing my one Low tuned harp, a big river in LE, so considering that's a budget harp I reckon I'll really love a decent low!
I'm looking for a low C (I know it's super low and quiet and all that... But that's why i I like it!)

Off the top of my head.

Session Steel
1847
Manji
Thunderbird

1847 has a new super low baratone. Very nice looking.

I have a practically brand new Low C Manji I may be interested in trading. If your interested.

That's my list too.
The only addition I can think of is the hohner 365 has a low octave in keys above ... I forget...A I think. Certainly the C is low. Not sure if that goes for the 364 also...maybe not.
And I also dunno about the Seydels; it could be that all the models are available in Lo tunings.

Thanks guys...
Killa, I would but given I'm in the UK, by the time we deal with shipping and customs etc we may as well buy new locally. Thanks though.

Thinking about it now, I own most of the lowest versions of the Seydel harps:

Session in low D
Session steel in low C
Favorite in low low F
1847 Classic in low low E

The session was surprisingly good for the price, but the steel is definitely worth the extra cost.

I can't see anyone going for a favorite now the classic lows are out.

I began most of my learning on a low C, as the pitch of the recommended key of C proved too annoying for my family.

Low C is still one of my favourite keys, as it is low enough to be mellow but high enough to be reasonably responsive for faster tunes.

Good luck, let us know how you get on.

No problem Ian. Just throwing out there.

If your going to buy new, i would look at seydel.

HLess ... yes the session steel is one of the best harps out in my book. The Lows are just as good. I only have low F, so low er keys may not be as good, but i would be suprised if that was the case. I want to get a low Eb next.
