I recommend watching BBC's James May The Reassembler. It's not really off-topic for these reasons:
1. He reassembles an electric guitar
2. He explains his dislike of soldering "unless it goes well". As he says, it always requires a third hand :)
3. He explains about different types of screwdriver. Philips vs Japanese Industry Standard, for instance. And the real reason for using a long screwdriver, aside from reach. And he has a slot-head screwdriver with a special split-tip-and-sleeve mechanism that holds onto small screws while you put them in place. Yes even non-magnetic screws, since you ask.
