"Almost every Musician is a Pro or close to it . If you are new to town and want to play on stage... Well you got to pay your dues , Go up there and Just watch for a few shows get a feel for the Jam . Introduce yourself to Tone, or Tiho let them know you play but don't ask to play . They will call you up eventually ."
I've never been; I don't know if this stuff is standard jam protocol or not; make of it what you will.
