Hi all, i'm looking for solo christmas blues harmonica tunes/mashups.. Did a search on this forum and there are similar topics but people post accompanied christmas carols. I think it is fun to play along a jamtrack, play in a rack with your guitar or play single notes, but i want to learn some harp only christmas songs. We play an amazing diatonic instrument, so i'd like to utilize the possibilities of the blues harmonica. I consider myself a beginner and got inspired when i heard the awesome Jingle Bells version of Harmonica Bill last year. Couldn't reproduce it back then, but i can this year and now i want to play more like that :-) Couldn't find more so i made some arrangements myself, it's just an impression, quick phone recording, i know i have to work on pitch and attack/make a good recording sometime. Do you guys have anything like that i can work on? Got a christmas tune this year Bill? Thanks in advance Happy Holidays
I myself don't know any sources. But why not just be creative and improvise. There's nothing better than knowing you created something new that has appeal. As for me, I like playing along to a song such as Blue Christmas from Elvis. If you find anything, that's cool. Merry Christmas.
Hi Jazzyman, I'm sorry to respond to this so late, but I thought your two tunes came out really great. I love Christmas music and I love to "bluesify" it. Actually, I do that to a lot of different types of music. Hopefully I can figure out a cool one to do next November for the Christmas season. Cliffy (Harmonica Bill)
