Just a really quick, under-the-radar alert:

HCH is happening in 2019.

I don't use the word "absolutely" very often, on this forum or anywhere else, but it is absolutely happening. It is happening this May, and it is happening at Foxfire Ranch in Waterford, Mississippi. The Hollowell family will be at the core of what we do. Bobby Rush may be there.

I can't tell you more than that. But I can tell you that.

I can tell you one more thing: if it comes off as planned, it will be BETTER than any previous HCH. You heard that from Dr. G.

Please don't ask me for details. Just trust me on this--and save your pennies, boys and girl, because May 2019 at Foxfire Ranch will be epic.

Details will follow, when I'm allowed to share them.

Merry Christmas.

--Santa Gus

taxi to foxfire would be a fare for 70 miles......would be much cheaper to rent a car

It was a lot of fun this past summer for me. It was the first such event I've attended. There are cheap hotels in the area.

Not begging for details. Just the dates. I'll trust you when you say it will be the best. Just need to plan my drive down from the tundra.

Yes indeed. That truck is much shinier and more blue thanks to a repaint job four or five years ago.

The dates have been set: May 16-19, 2019.

Very big announcement this Wednesday. We've locked in most of our teacher/performers, but a couple more remain.

It's exciting, really. When we release the full list of teacher/performers, those of you who have attended the event in past years will say, "This is clearly the best lineup you've ever had." That's how I feel. And that's saying a lot, considering our past lineups.

I can't say anymore right now. Wednesday, I hope.

And no, BAG, you're way off. Only one of the performers you've listed is somebody on our list.

The new steward of the event, Annette Hollowell, daughter of Foxfire Ranch owners Bill and Annie, agreed with me that we need to hold back any announcement about our teacher/performer roster until we've confirmed all the participants. We're still working out the details with two biggies. But the dates are confirmed and now public. It is happening.
