Not really spiral--and I wouldn't like having the same note on blow and draw.
Doesn't look like my tuning.
I am going to post about that, thanks for your post.

I have played only standard tuned diatonics, and chromatics, not counting brief encounter with XB40.

Isn't it confusing to switch between various alternate tunings?

Im super open minded for an old guy---if I wanted to try one--- Where to buy?

dkrulewich- when I tried my first 'nat minor' tuned it was weird for about 3 monthes---AFTER THAT I WAS SO THANKFUL I HUNG IN THERE--

I now have 10 keys in nat minor--great for songs like 'Thrill is gone--even work song--I shot the sheriff--summertime etc [songs with a minor I and IV] powder coated turquoise glitter

I ve been playin with a rack for 45 years --- I like the notes to be there as apposed to -- I must avoid this or that note---especially with a rack

yes I can play in 3rd but prefer nat minor

I now have all 12 keys normal tuning 'except draw 7 is 1/2 step flat strictly for blues

have A G D C F Bb E normal no b7 draw for dylan n young folky painted orange

I have 4 major 7 tuned or whatever u call it ---the lee oscar thing--[melody maker]---the 5 draw is major 7 instead of b7 --and a another note, im to lazy to look up --u can still bend to b7---for georgia--Tennesee whisy--whats goin on marvin gaye ETC---all auto paint white

Im a housepainter so its fun for me to do this---
also I look in my case I know where my minor major etc harps are

WHEN I TRY A NEW TUNING NOW---IT TAKES ME MINUTES TO ADJUST--BECAUSE ONCE i BROKE AWAY FROM THAT RICHTER SOUND --IT GOT EASIER

NO IT ISNT HARD CHANGING FROM 1 TUNING TO THE OTHER ANYMORE-MY EAR INSTANTLY ADJUSTS
PEACE

I don't think anyone sells a harp in this tuning!

Seydel has their harp configurator that might be able to lay out. Hohner's specialty shop has a configurator like feature too.

I've played solo, natural and harmonic minor in addition to regular old major (and a 365). The 365 is the only one that ever took much adjusting for me.

I have tried the Kniri 221, but don't think I preferred it to some others.
David Payne once sent me a 4 octave tuning for 10 hole harmonica.

PS I bet Seydel would build this one for you!

The brain with its "muscle memory" is an amazing thing. It will allow you to transition from one tuning to another without having to visualize where each note sits on the harp. I've always admired a musician who plays (any instrument) without using any sheet music because the entire score is in his (her) head. I observe this every year when I attend the two-day jazz festival in Lake George, New York where many of the musicians who are classically trained will play improv. Sometimes I even amaze myself when playing along to a song I have never heard before and have no trouble playing to. I'm sure many of you have had the same experience when jamming or sitting in or just playing to a track and you'll end up saying to yourself, "Hey, I sounded pretty good with that one!" It's the same mechanism that allows you to play in various positions on the same keyed harp or to play in the same key on three or more different keyed harps.
