Ive noticed how I do this consistently at wednesday night blues jam at local dive.....its just like second nature......maybe because it always works....6blow to 2 draw resolve.....both root notes......the blue scale always works

No "avoid" notes.

Here's a fun project. Get six 6X9 note cards and write the notes of the blues scale - one on each card. Then, shuffle and deal. Play what you see before you. You'd be surprised how many interesting ideas and "riffs" you will discover!

Why not keep on going past the 2 draw and get a second octave (almost)?

Try this ...

6 -5 -4 4 -3' -2 -2" -1 1 -3' -2
