Adam -my wife and I saw the movie two weeks ago in Indianapolis at the Heartland Film Festival. Fantastic! Even though I’ve hung around MBH for years and sorta knew your story, I had no idea. What a great feel good story about music, people, the blues and friendship that transcends every difference we could ever have as people. What amazed me was the time period spanned by the film. Again, I had no idea how many years of your and Sterling’s life stories were being filmed. My wife likes the blues, but doesnt love them like we all do here on the forum. Anyway, she LOVED the movie as a great human story. So...thanks to you and everyone who made it happen, Adam. And to everybody here on the forum...go see the movie!

What's with the interest from the Jewish community in your film? Oy!

I'm not knocking it, but am just curious....any insights, Adam?

I don't have any insights. I'd say that about a quarter to a third of the festivals are Jewish. It could be because they all go to Tribeca, where we were, and jump on the same films.

I'm half-Jewish, not fully Jewish, and the Jewish theme in the film is very much secondary. So I'm mystified. Perhaps it's that the film evokes a kind of white-and-black-together sensibility that very much drove the Civil Rights movement, and that Jewish film festivals are patronized to a considerable extent by older Jewish folks in their 60s and 70s who remember that era well. That's my hunch.
