Hi
Im always amazed at harp players that do chordal, boogie, vamping solo—No other instruments

Ive seen Rod Piazza do it live---He never really lost the feel for the chord changes—he started and ended within the 12 bars—u could feel the chord changes—I was further amazed at how long he did it, without sounding repetitive

It was a long time ago maybe 30 years ago—but it seemed he did AT LEAST 6-7 12 bar go arounds
Im very weak at this--- maybe 2 -3 12 bar go arounds b4 Im boring WEAK

An y way I bought BBQ Bobs Cd----The one with the song “shufflin live”---also has Tramp etc---HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS DOWNLOAD

Schufflin has at least 11 - 12 bar go arounds—with great turnarounds—Very different note choices –bounces around very tastefully – some great 2 and 3 hole bends and pre bend returns—really challenging

Best I can tell by using Mixcraft and or Transcribe—The BPM is about 204- ITS FAST --im trying to get some of it at 194BPM –faster later- if I can

On the 2nd 12 bar-- after the IV chord--- returning to the I chord--- b4 the turn---He does a descending draw 3 with bends and BACKBEAT-very skilled at that speed—I can sorta do a draw backbeat at 194 –but at 204 I have to exhale in between, for backbeat, doesn’t sound as good, but it feels more natural at that speed

Great toungue blocking deals and slaps as well

I won’t post the recording, so as not to piss anyone off

If you want a challenge and a study in solo blues vamping buy the cd and download

Ps :please post more people doing this solo thing –not noodling, but actually following the 12 bars thanks again
