Thought you might be interested in a quick impression of my latest cd due out in September.
This one features the great Balta Bordoy out of Barcelona. I met Balta when I was across playing a harmonica festival with Victor Puertas and Thomas Toussaint and realised he would be great for a project I had long planned on doing. Definitely not "modern" as some here interpret it, but rather a hommage to my roots. Harp, two guitars, piano and drums. A mixture of originals and covers, mostly 50s Chicago. Acoustic and electric stuff in various formations.
Have a listen. You may like it :-)

I like what I heard quite a bit. The guitar work is old school Chicago and King-style, but with its own personality, and the harp work is what a good blues band should demand, solid, bracing tone, slicing and well placed chops, phrases and fills. Kudos on the vocals and keyboards as well; from this brief sample thsi sounds like an inspired session of urban blues ---------- www.ted-burke.com
I liked the ballsy fearless tone and harmonica playing as if it was Chicago in the late 40's.... No reason to be "modern" if you love the "vintage"... ---------- The Iceman

Great CD. Roger pays tribute to many of his harmonica heros with his playing. You will feel right at home with his music. ---------- Tom Halchak Blue Moon Harmonicas
I like it. Sounds nice and tight. Like your tone and enjoy hearing some keyboards. I always like to hear some chromatic stuff too for the distinctive change of tone colors. Like your voice too. Great job.
