So, I recorded some tunes on my iPhone during rehearsal with a duo partner who sings and plays piano. What are the mechanics of downloading/uploading those to MBH in order to post some of them?

Download them to YouTube. Click on the
“Share” button. A submenu will appear. Click on “embed” and you’ll get a long code below. Cut and paste that code on a “new topic” on MBH.
This should make your video appear.
You need to be on “desktop” version of YouTube to do this.
There may be an easier way but that’s how I have always done it.

MBH can't host the videos/audio locally. You have to use an outside service for that. For videos I use YouTube. For audio I use soundcloud. For images try Imgur. (A couple of the other services that used to let you host images don't let you do it for third party sites anymore).
CarlA's advice will work for videos on YouTube. If you just have audio you can make it into a video with various software and post it or use Soundcloud or similar service.
(Youtube really ought to have a way to post audio where you just select a picture to use during playback. I see lots of music posted that way, but I don't think they have an easy way to do that.)

The above are recordings I made on my iPhone at a rehearsal on Saturday. Obviously some of it is pretty rough and very much still a work in progress. But I like the diversity of styles. For anyone who may be interested in such things, FLY ME TO THE MOON and ONLY YOU are in 1st position. I PUT A SPELL ON YOU is in 5th position. SMOOTH OPERATOR is in 3rd position. The other tunes are all in 2d position.
