Me and my band had wonderful opportunity to play with masterful organist from Czech - Jan Korinek.
Some songs from that evening:

Cool stuff Konstantin! (Thought I heard an extract from Work Song.) Always look forward to your posts to see what you've come up with.

Digging the organ playing that Jan's doing. Were the songs rehearsed between your band and Jan ahead of time or do you all just know the songs?

You certainly have a pretty unique approach and sound. I can't think of many other harmonica players doing what you're doing besides Dennis Gruenling and maybe David Peloquin. I'm aware that you're drawing your inspiration from horn players given some of your other recent posts. How long have you been working at this approach?

BronzeWailer, thank you so much again and again! Yes you are right about 'Work Song' quote :)

Ridge, thank you so much! Yes, we had one rehearsal before gig. I was familiar with these songs but learned them especially for our small tour with Jan.
Thank you for kind words, I'm really happy because Dennis is one of my main influences (in that style I also love PT Gazell and Kirk Jelly Roll Johnson, especially his last 3 albums). I think I started to dig more into this style about 3 years ago.

One more from that evening. We did "Got My Mojo" a la Jimmy Smith. I'm not so happy with my playing, but I've made some unusual (for me) accompaniment with interesting chromatic run in the end of each chorus.

And just because I love Dennis so much we did his song on this evening (with my regular keyboard player).

@wheel -- I've got a copy of that Jimmy Smith recording and it's a great recording and I'm a huge fan of his. Great stuff here, man!! Soul Jazz these days is also often referred to as acid jazz as well and years back they used to call them organ grinder combos.

barbequebob, thank you so much! In my country people often think that soul-jazz is something like George Benson from the 80s-90s :)
