Hello,
I'm not great at understanding electronics but I've taken it into my head to build a combined IMT and volume to sit in a hobby box on my belt. Would like to clear up some questions before I start buying bits.
I have a couple of IMTs and get very different results from them in terms of mic hotness. I don't really understand why.
I am waiting on delivery of an EV RE10 and I understand that they are 150 ohms.
I believe I want to increase that to 50k ohms then, via a 100k volume pot, to the amp.
Questions:
What spec of Transformer do I need?
Is there a link to a wiring diagram?
Any tips gratefully received.
