Disturbing news has hit Aus today.
Seems that a a major harmonica manufacturer has registered the configuration (I guess this means tuning etc.) of their musical instruments under the Intellectual Property Protection Act as one of the first ramifications of the TPP.

This means that any modifications including reed replacement, and even tuning and simple repairs will be against the law unless specifically authorized by the manufacturer. This is the worst thing to hit Down Under since the cricket ball tampering scandal and the Easter Egg carob-for-chocolate incident.
