What do you think about suzuki harpmaster ?

Do you like it?

Is it ET ?

OK to play in a band?

It's a lot like a SP20.
I don't know if it's better, but it does come with the Suzuki one year warranty.
It's ET, but you can change that.

I love them. Responsive, loud, and hold up better than SP20's IMO.

I have around five of them. Well made, durable, good sound, sound great out of the box. Good medium priced harmonica, a good go-to for band playing, in my experience.

Best out-of-the-box harps I've tried . Very gig worthy at a good price . Picked up a couple of Easttops that come in a close second for me . They play as good as the Harpmasters for about half the price but I'm not fond of the covers : kind of flexible/wimpy and not as smooth .

Do harpmaster overblow out of the box or do I need to make adjustment?

Unlike gnarly ,who is the official Suzuki tech,I have never come across an ET harpmaster.all the ones I have are compromise tuning.
I am primarily a manji player, but,if hired as a harmonica player for an electric band,I use harpmasters.

@Frankie

Many mid range harps or high end stock harps can offer a blow 6 or 5 overblow as a passing tone, OOTB.

So far as I know, NO unmodified harp OOTB is set up for full overbend playing of all overblows and overdraws. That requires either you or a tech to set the harp up and modify it for overbending.

IMHO, sustained, bendable overbends for chromatic playing are not available on any OOTB harp.

********

Frankie, you have asked a wide range of many questions about harps, repairs, tuning, etc.

It is difficult to know what answers will be useful to offer to you, since we have no idea of your own skills. Your own level of ability is a factor in determining what answers will be useful to you.

What harps do you own and play?
Can you bend the draw bends?
Can you bend the blow bends?
Can you overblow notes?
Can you overdraw notes?
What adjustments and repairs have you attempted?
Have you been successful in your adjustments and repairs?

A great harp for people on a budget (like me).
