@Nathan: What element is in this mic? From the description on the Lone Wolf website, I assume this mic has strong proximity effect (like, for example. an SM57 or 545). Is the correct?

Its much like a 57 the element is not a Shure element it is a Unidirectional Dynamic Microphone element and to my ears has a better bottom end sound and of course no handling noise and a shape designed for harmonica players. The mic may prove to be more feedback resistant ---------- www.mooncat.org
