"started playing at the bar and thy called me up.."

Like you just started playing without first being called on stage?!?

Please tell me you didn't pull a "Gus"

Exactly! Thanks Indigo. Glad some people still have what they used to call a "sense of humor"

Anyway, glad you had fun at the jam bro

I think it was our benefactor here who may have coined the term GUS. It's someone who begins playing harp in the audience. Imagine 3 or 4 people doing that!
Not to ruffle any feathers but most other musicians don't do that and it may be considered bad manners some places. Good that you had a couple of good experiences Groyster.
If I'd been there I may have approached the stage and showed my harp and hoped for the best. Otherwise I'd be a civilian.

1847, I don't know, I've got a thing for redheads so suddenly being in Ireland might be good for me! I like their accent better than the Tennessee one too. (No offence to anyone from Tennessee, just personal preference.)

I would rather be playing blues than jazz, but maybe I could convince them to compromise and play some jigs. :)

The term 'GUS' was in discussion on harp-l long before MBH.
