I couldn't locate the old thread of Too Many Harmonicas, but this would've been a part of that thread but it could show you how this could work. Pierre Beauregard and I arranged Jingle Bells to be played as more of a blues boogie groove and on this recording, we have two lead sections, several rhythm sections, plus chromatic, chord and bass harps augmented by accordions, melodicas, washtub bass and drums. There are different people taking solos here and later I'll have a list of them all and my own solo starts at 1:48.
This was the only harmonica band that actually used the entire Hohner catalog at once. The now defunct Boston area radio station WBCN used this tune for a number of years to recite their Christmas dedications. To everybody, Happy Holidays and enjoy!!!

I nearly forgot that we also included a musical saw as well. ---------- Sincerely, Barbeque Bob Maglinte Boston, MA http://www.barbequebob.com CD available at http://www.cdbaby.com/cd/bbmaglinte
And Bones is there too. I have that record and owe way many a debt to this group for putting up with me learning these songs. Quite a tutorial for an aspiring harp player. BBQ,you may recall my sister Shelley who lived wit PT for years. I'd love to see the solo list.
@Littoral -- Wow! I remember her and I wasn't aware that she was your sister. Small world, indeed! I have to find that somewhere because I don't remember all of the players doing the solos, but a few I remember, like the opening solo is Pierre Beauregard using what was then called a Major 7th harp and was something you retuned yourself until Hohner came out with them as production line models renamed country tuned harps. Jimmy Gordon was the first solo that used a chromatic. ---------- Sincerely, Barbeque Bob Maglinte Boston, MA http://www.barbequebob.com CD available at http://www.cdbaby.com/cd/bbmaglinte
