I think this is the first time I have submitted a comment here, although I have been following quite a few threads for a few years like a creepy and mindful stalker.

If you were wrongfully convicted of a crime and sentanced to a decade in jail you would have no luxuries whatsoever. But, let's say that the Warden was a blues fan and after cozening up to all of the right people and saying the right things the Warden agreed to allow you to have three harmonica, only three, for the duration of your time.

Which harps would you choose?

Fortunately you have a connection who owes you a favor and can get you any harp, customized or in any tuning.

And, of course, if you know the right people you can get reed replacements. But the rest of keeping your harps playable and in working order is up to you.

I know it is at least possible to have a harmonica when you are in jail based on my old correspondence with Paul DeLay when he was in "Club Fed" on cocaine charges up in the Pacific NW!

He even formed a prison band that would "rehearse" in the big bathroom (for acoustics) and called it the American Standard Blues Band ("American Standard" was the brand name used for the urinals there).

ONLY THREE, that's cruel and unusual punishment.
