From what I've seen the Quilters seem to work well with lots of different mics CMs, CRs, Bulletinis, SM57s, etc. Anyone having good experiences with crystal or ceramic mics with their Micropro?
All the best!
Jay

James Harman uses an Aviator with a JT30 with a crystal element and that amp is essentially much like the Micro Pro minus the other amp voicings.

I haven't used a Quilter, but with the EHX 44 Magnum I seem to get a lot more volume before feedback if I use my 585SAV instead of my Astatic Brown Biscuit with CM element.

Whatever mic you use, the very first thing to remember is to forget about the way you would set it up if it was a Fender tube amp because the tone controls on a solid state amp works very differently and make sure that nothing gets set past half way up for any of those tone controls. The tweed amp setting is the least gainy setting on these amps.
