Bill Barrett is an incredibly talented and original harmonica player This and the other videos of him on another thread are proof positive that he is worthy of mention here at MBH is one of the best in the business living. This is a truly original artist, "modern" player you should have at your "MBH Hill Country harmonica rodeo"

Sweet! thanks Gnarley for posting these videos. I've loved Bill's playing and singing for many years, and this new combo with Michaela Gomez is so tasty! A perfect sonic and stylistic match; great to hear that old Charley Christian Gibson with the chromatic harmonica together in a very pure recording that pays respect to the genre. I love the tinted videos too, perfect for the 1920s/30s style.
A few months ago I made a California Trip, and jammed with Bill and some other musicians at a gig on my last night in LA. After knowing of him for many years and corresponding via email, it was a real pleasure to just hang out with Mr. Barrett for an evening. We played non-stop in the car on the way there and back, only stopping to gabble enthusiastically about something or other. Good memories! Bill is wonderful warm man as well as a pioneering chromatic player.
