I don't know if there was a previous thread on this subject, but in an effort to get to see one another perform and to get to know each other better, perhaps members could post the current names of the bands they play in, in what areas they play, their genres and if they have a website or FB page. That way, depending on where each of us lives, we can check out possible performances of other members. A few members are well-known by the majority like Jason or Brendan and we can find where they are playing, but many of us are just local guys and gals with regular day jobs or retirees who love playing harp.

I suspect a lot of posts will get snagged by the spamnet here, with all the links likely to be included.

My band is a long way from most places but fwiw, here is our page:

It's not quite the same thing, but I started a thread a while back for people to share videos of them playing. Basically, if you have a video on YouTube you can share a link to the video there and I will add it to a playlist. I put a link to the thread on the FAQ page.

Lots of videos in one thread crash threads, but by making a youtube playlist we can have all the videos in a less laggy format. We can add band sites to that page if people want.

I've been in two bands. The first one was called Mozart's Other Brother Darryl. Mostly I just sang a little backup and wrote lyrics for it. My second band, which hasn't done much lately, was/is called the Normanskill Saxons. I keep meaning to put up more of our old recordings (mostly just audio) but one of the former members is really touchy about everything being perfect or he doesn't want it on the web.

The older stuff from my first band is on Myspace somewhere.

I debuted this year fronting my own rockabilly/blues/swing band. It's been quite a challenge, but so far it has been a great experience.

Our first EP here

I'm also working with a folk rock singer/songwriter. If you like "world music", check us out >HERE

I play solo, duo or trio under shakey Lyman .

If it is a trio,it is usually called the shakey Lyman trio.

I also play with a guitar player named Slo. In that case,it is the Slo and shakey show.

I play mostly in Philadelphia,in a big triangle from NY to reading down to cape may nj.
