Hey Everyone! I know it's been a couple years since I posted but I keep up from time to time. Life gets in the way of fun sometimes is the best way to explain my absence. Older an wiser...At least I hope so. lol I've already got Hill Country Harmonica on my calendar for next year. AWESOME that it's back. Can't wait! Catfish Frye Band had a great 5 year run but job, family situations, and a little burnout led to a peaceful end. I was out of it for 8 months when a cat from Richlands VA invited me to sit in with his band. He's actually a guitar player that loves harmonica and actually plays a little harp for fun. He has his own band but agreed to be part a project with me if I book no more than one or two shows per month. Perfect! 5 or 6 shows a month is tough when you work 45 hours a week plus finding time for wifey and my four grandsons. We settled on the name SHAKE yo MoneyMaker Band. Someone requested this song and he didn't know all the words so he improvised a bit. Hey, it's the blues! I think he's a great singer and player. So good to be back on the amateur scene and especially good to feel the fires burning again to practice and play our beloved instrument!
Nice job Duane! I hope to catch up with you at HCH, provided I can make it. It's been fun to watch the evolution of your band and was sorry to see it come to an end..(but these things do happen - it was a good run). Hopefully you get to play as much as you want...
