Son House video (VHS) from the "rediscovery" 60's era was instrumental in schooling me on the gut punch that real blues offers....up till then, I had a problem w/out of tune guitar strings, forms that weren't 4/4 or 12 or 16 measures - in other words, middle class white guy.

This performance video showed Son House transcending this world as he played/sang....caught between 2 worlds (religious and secular evil juke joint music), Son House brought that preacher energy to secular blues and changed my outlook/opinion.

Based on Son House and how he defines blues, Juke is not the blues. Juke jumps...

Maybe Juke is "Rhythm and Blues?"
