I did 4 songs today with Greg's Rackit. The instrumentals are pure Rackit and the ones with vocals catch a lot of the acoustic harp sound in the vocal mic and are a blend of the 2. I lined the inside of the Rackit with a thin layer of gray acoustic foam and used the full compression plug and ran it through a champ clone amp. Songs below. Walter

@Walter - sounds great!

@Johnnie 9-Toes - do you have a point? Because the Tsunami and the Rackit! could not be more different.

thanks Greg. I have only put a few minutes into using the rackit. Hopefully tomorrow I get some inspiration to fool more with it. The Pizzeria keeps me occupied most of my waking hours as once making music did :-) Last week a couple came in from Austin who now live in Reno. They use to follow my band back then 30 odd years ago. I blew some harp for them. Man it is a small world and time flies!

Greg: I recorded new songs tonight (below) with the Rackit. I put some foam over the mic screen and lined the cavity with a bit of foam. These songs are not a true representations of the rackit tone except the song "bounce". It is an instrumental and the vocal mic was turned off so it was all Rackit on the harp. My set up has the vocal mic a few inches from the harp rack so the acoustic tone of the harp bleeds into the vocal mic and the vocals bleed into the rackit mic and add distortion. Trying to balance them is much easier on the quiet songs with vocals. I am thinking of covering the Rackit with studio foam to cut down on the acoustic tone bleeding into the vocal mic. If I wanted to really do it right for pure rackit tone I would cut out the harp parts from the vocal mic track and the vocal parts out of the rackit track but that would take too long as I record way too many songs and only spend a couple minutes at most mixing songs. I love the way it sits on the rack. It is secure and comfortable. You did good :-) Walter
