Below are songs from today (9-11-17) using the Rackit amplified harp holder. I ran it through a 5 watt champ clone using a farmers foot drum harp rack. The amp was in the bathroom with a mic a couple feet off it to capture some room sound. The harp fits the rack perfectly and Greg's mechanical/sonic skills are in fine form with the entire concept. I did get bleeding into the vocal mic from the harp and vocals into the rackit harp mic but overall the sound is great. I used the full plug and open plugs for these songs. All are one take live so what you hear is how it sounds. Walter ---------- walter tore's spontobeat - a real one man band and over 1 million spontaneously created songs and growing. thanks! For the first attempt it came out ok. I am thinking of lining the inside of the rackit with some felt or something to give a softness akin to the palm of the hand to add a damping effect to it. KC69: Greg designed an adapter metal plate that attaches to the magnet on the harp rack. It fits perfect. I don't have the technology to send a photo but he sent some with the adaptor instructions. Thanks Tom. I still want to get a bit more flesh like tone into the sound. I have made hundreds of 1/2 ass harp mic rigs and one of the best tones I got was made from the thick foam insolation that one puts on outside pipes for winter. On the first song I put a piece of sound deadening foam torn off one of those gray panels you use in studios inside the cavity but it added a booming bass sound if you listen close from the breath. I had corresponded with Greg a few years ago about him making this product and sure am glad he got to doing it! Greg has a killer design here that is pretty darn near perfect IMO and I recommend anyone who wants a class act harp mic for rack playing to buy asap.
