I like The Bad Kind, and I like John 5. Any other suggestions for similar music? Not sure what to call it. I saw one comment that Jason Ricci was the King Crimson of the blues harp.

don't know if this is what you had in mind, but animation in John 5 video reminded me of this one...
btw, great creative band from the 80's - cult following, etc. Danny Elfman (lead singer/guitar player/songwriter of Oingo Boingo) has currently a huge career doing film scores - started with Tim Burton movies but now does mainstream films as well.

I remember Oingo Boingo! I wonder if Tim Burton did that video. I described Jason Ricci as the Frank Zappa of harmonica to someone.

The Bad Kind is pretty unique. I really want hear some more contemporary music in that same vein.
