I've been listening to several recent duo albums a lot lately: Ronnie Shellist and Moses Walker, Magic Dick and Shun Ng, Jason Ricci and JJ Appleton (who played a killer show at Terra Blues Tuesday).

Satan and Adam, Sonny Terry and Brownie McGhee, Buddy Guy and Junior Wells are all great duos, but I'm wondering if there are other recent albums in the genre that shouldn't be missed?

Check out Chris Jones and Steve Baker. Jones, who passed in 2005, was a great guitarist and songwriter ( Bonnie Raitte covered his "I cant make you love me"); Baker's a great harp player and Hohner consultant. My favorite cd of cd is "Slow Roll. Highly recommended.

Dennis Gruenling and Richard Sleigh have an excellent album out. Dennis and Richard play harp (of course) and Richard also plays guitar and sings.

Madcat and Kane are another.

+1 on the Rogers and Buffalo. I'm not wild about the vocals but two very distinctive instrumental stylists at the top of their game.

Harry Manx and Steve Marriner. I don't know if they have an album per se, but you can make one up off YouTube.
