No video on these, but here are a couple of ghetto tracks recorded a few months ago. There is nothing fancy here, but Blues.

First up: A James Cotton instrumental entitled: Lightning

Second: A Snooky Pryor tune entitled: She Tried To Ruin Me.

If you enjoy it, I would dig your feedback. If you really enjoy it, feel free to Venmo me a few bucks. If you don't dig it, you can say that, too.

Hey, Joe! This is pretty solid stuff. I've only listened to the first track so far. This is a James Cotton instrumental? I'm not familiar with it.

It's good Chicago blues. Nice tone and use of vibrato throughout. You did some interesting things with timing here-- most notably there was the repeated triplets, but there was also some phrases that floated out of time (like a 6 notes in 4 beats kind of thing). Those timing changes added a lot of interest to the tune for me.

I wish the band had picked up more on what you were doing. There was some real opportunity when you did those horn type lines around 3:30.

Very cool. Glad to hear some music from you. (I didn't reply or see this for a while because it was titled "Ghetto Tracks" and that title didn't interest me.)

Both good tunes. This was a good band you put together. I don't know Ron on drums, but maybe I should.

Hey Marc, this is Gil's band. I was sitting in with them. Ron is the brother of bass player, Dave Chavez.
