I am a singer/songwriter/guitarist and I love the harp! Been listening to Chicago Blues for as long as I can remember. I am a vocalist first, and guitarist second. I feel this has helped me with breathing, and naturally playing harp. I'd say I'm an intermediate player. Every chance I get, I try to play harp and sit in on harp where I would normally play guitar. My playing has been well received, but I know I'm no pro.

Like guitar, I'm cursed with a love for gear. Right now, my favorite harps are Special 20 & Marine Band. I'm still looking for the right mic(s) and amps. I know a lot of this is subjective, but I could use suggestions since I'm not quite sure where to look on some things.

I play in band settings and solo acoustic with a harp rack.

I am trying to focus more on the playing aspect of the instrument more than the gear.

Any thoughts?
