Firstly can I thank Joe for your nice comments you speak as though we have met.
I play acoustic as much as I can.
Why? Well lets look at the fantastic intermediate harmonica player Jason Richie who makes good tutorial videos and sounds great throughout compared to onstage with his big mic saturated in effects which for me ruin his sound.

Harmonica gods, realize, don't misspell the names of other distinguished harmonica players. Just saying. It's ungod like

It would be a great service to the harmonica community if you would take him under your wing. Perhaps tutor or mentor him a bit, so that one day he can advance from the intermediate classification to the expert category. Maybe turn pro eventually. Thank you in advance.

"... briefly humorous nuisance we've seen many times that goes away, eventually."

Not until it stops being funny! In the meanwhile, sharpharp should be writing this all down for when he has an album. He can put them on his endorsements page and be the best endorsed harp player of all time!

Honkin, that's the best one yet!

Perhaps, he is referring to a player named Jason Richie that none of us know, because sharpharp is so deep.

Sharpharp knows Jason has been misspelling his name all this time.

Jason Richie is Lionel's younger brother, and took Lionel's place in The Commodores when Lionel went solo. Jason couldn't sing as beautifully as Lionel, but covered the harmony parts as well as the on stage dance routines needed for this type of Motownish act. Jason became well known for doing the dance moves on stage while wearing a harp rack with tiny wireless mic mounted in order to play all those amazing Commodore harmonica solos from their early records.

Who could forget "Brick House" and that stunning harmonica introduction. I know I can't.

Well unless Lionel's younger brother is making tutorial harp videos I'm guessing nobody in this thread is talking about him.
But thanks for the "moments in musical history" Larry. You must kill at parties.

Well if Jason Richie keeps practicing, he might move up into the same league as some of the greatest harp players of all time:

Little Waltor Jacabs
Paul Buttfield
James Cotten
