Last night I watched one slight young man delight a sold-out house by seemlessly layering drums, percussion, synth, stand-up bass, bass guitar, acoustic guitar, piano, mind-boggling harmonized vocals and -- free-reed content! -- Melódica! It looked something like this:

One of the many mind-boggling things about these interviews is watching him sing complex arpeggios and microtonal runs perfectly in tune without even slowing down the rapid flow of his speech.
Looking at some of his videos led me to music theory new to me - something called Negative Harmony, or something like that. Will have to watch videos a few times to completely absorb the concept, but he sure seems to hang with very forward thinking musicians/theorists!
