I just got a bulletizer from Blowsmeaway, Greg Heumann, and it's great ! I realized that all of my backup mics are bullets except my 57, and I hadn't been using it because of the small barrel on the 57. So, I fixed the problem. I was really impressed by the simplicity of the design in its approach to the problem. And, I agree.. it's versatile, doing clean and dirty equally well. I think it has bumped the bullets for some applications.

A SM57 is a thing of beauty. If you're used to bullet miss, The Bulletizer helps.

I would argue there are less tonal changes possible with Bulletizer.

It helps more with hand cramping, if a person has that problem. Tonally, it didn't change much for me.

Hey totally! I agree each to their own always and of course. My experience when I first started using 57's was also that they were hard to hold but then I just sort of relaxed my grip and I barely even held it I just use my thumb and little finger to create a kinda fulcrum which the weight of the mic balance on and against.
My feeling is personally the mic loses some of it's tonal personality and possibilities with the bulletizer...Skin indeed pads and rounds out tone more than plastic to my ears , again this is just my ears, I also feel the bulletizer kinda sounds exactly like it looks sort of hollow and plastic etc...but you know there are sincerely cool things about THAT sound those are not negative adjectives actually but I do think you lose some of the nuance these modern mics are capable of. But man Do your thing!!!
