Hi everybody,

My son Matthew is 15 and he is a fantastic piano player.
Thought some of you might like to see/hear what he can do.

The harmonica starts at about 5:25, so this is not completely off-topic :)

Does he know about Otis Spann . . ? Your son is proof that people shouldn't complain so much about "these kids nowadays".

Thanks so much Bubba and 1847! I've been trying to get Matt to listen to Otis Spann, but so far he's obsessed with Professor Longhair. We have fun jamming together... I always loved being a parent, but when he turns out to like what you like, that's just icing on the cake. And I didn't force it on him, he started liking boogie-woogie piano through seeing it on YouTube. :)

Blingty, thanks so much!

The only thing that stinks is that my wife (his mom) won't let him play both sets with us... she takes him home after the first set because he is still only 15. Even though I don't drink, she doesn't like the idea of him being out that late in a car. But yeah, I am sooooo proud of Matt. He's a good kid and he makes me laugh.

when we were 15 my mom would make me ride home from the bar
on my bicycle with no headlamp or a helmet.

kids these days are so sheltered.

BronzeWailer, thanks so much!

1847, you aren't kidding. If it were up to me, I would have had Matt play the whole gig and then pack up all the gear while I ate ribs. and he would have done it, but his mom/my wife is a worrier.

Back in the "old days" I had so much more freedom than my son does now. i guess very generation says that though
