Where did you find that lineup at? I'm waiting on an update of performers and workshops.

Last year was my first time at SPAH. Enjoyed the music every night. I Have only been playing for 3 years, so I learned a lot at the seminars and from talking to people. Just made my Hotel and flight reservations for this year.

I booked my room at the Marriott Courtyard about 1/4 mile away. I have enough Marriott points, so that's extra $$$ for me to spend on harps.

Well, I have been going for a few years now but since I am supposed to be working, I seldom take advantage of the seminars.
This year, this one, I better.

For those who haven't attended SPAH, Joe Filisko's Teach in is held in a large room with instructors distributed around at different tables. The teachers offer help in their areas of expertise. Buzz is usually found at a table taking general questions or pointing out who could help. It is student centered: you can wander and stop at different tables or just stop and spend the entire time at one that interests you.

The ability to wander about makes it a little different from the other more programmed seminars held on one specific topic in separate rooms. At SPAH usually there are 2 or 3 choices of seminars and/or performances at any given time. Some seminars are repeated on other dates/times, some seminars or performances are offered only one time.

And then there are spontaneous hallway jams, open mic performances, scheduled concerts, organized nighttime jams, etc!

I registered and reserved my room a while back.

SPAH is a blast!

I generally teach chromatic blues but will talk about anything you like. Also, free lessons in the hallways that can go both ways!

Michael, I remember some of the stuff you taught me in the hallway in 2014. You amazed me by knowing that I rely on 3 blow more than 2 draw. You have quite an ear!
